i mostly prefer my monk, iv explored in all classes, cept the ranger.. havnt explored there too much. i prefer my monk for sum obvious reason, 1 being im practicly wanted everywere ^^ i love the attention, 2nd i have the most flexability of farming,i can solo UW(need LOTS more practice tho...) farm trolls, griffins, minos, grawl, charr avicara when i feel like it, ice imps(not the IDS imps). so as u can see i can farm for money at very random spots, oh and u can never forget the ettins , as for nrg managment for basic team healing i use many things, theres the necro elite "offering of blood" ez to use preety basic skill and there ele nrg storage elite wich give great nrg managment but alot of exhaustion, and last but not least mesmer skills posibly the best nrg managment skills ever

I have necro, warrior, mesmer, and ele. I have to say, that playing necro is fun and enjoyable. You can create your own undead army and use diffferent spells and hexes to damage the enemies. You can use blood magic skills to increase the mana for other players. So many possible builds for necro, i wonder why that i didn't start a necro first !

My favourite is playing W/A. Granted, I haven't tested all that much but being a warrior rocks for me and I love dual-wielding. I don't know why, but have a hard time wrapping my mind around casters; they aren't bad. They're just not my style. I prefere smashing things with weapons, getting my hands dirty. Necromancers are ok, with the whole army thing.
But I'm not good with casters.

I must admit, I'm a sucker for the Elementalists. Sure, they've got serious flaws, but really, they're just awesome. By far the most fun. Follow-up would be Mesmer, with Ranger trailing. Then Warrior and Necro bringing up the rear. That leaves Monk but since I've never played one I can't really judge.
As for Assassin and Ritualist... I see Ritualist fitting in just above ranger, and Assassin basically tying Warrior.

personally, i am a pro-fusion kind of person instead of pro-fission.
unfortunately, until the advent of room-temperature fusion, we're kinda stuck with fission, and the pro-fission dudes in Iran...
(Yes I understand the actual question, my favorite profession changes over time, currently, I am r/e, although I would like to switch to r/me at some point...)

A bit of context: I have 3 PvP-worthy PvE chars - ele, necro and monk. Recently got rid of my PvP slot to make a mesmer since I basically never play ranger and warrior only in some TA or alliance battle idiocy involving 4 wammos.
Fun: Mesmer > Necro >>>> Ele > Warrior > Monk >> Ranger
PvE:* Necro > Mesmer > Monk > Ele
PvP:** Necro > Monk > Ele > Mesmer > Warrior > Ranger
Farm: Ele > Necro > Monk (minos in elona reach ftw! If I actually manage to solo FoW with my nec, that will become more profitable and move up <.<)
*Ele is outclassed by SS pretty much everywhere and aspects of ele other than "NUKEOMG!!" are not very relevant in PvE. I never played the other two in PvE.
**Since I couldn't figure out a reasonable criteria, I just ranked classes by my skill with using them.

Are you sure you can dual-wield if you are W/A? I mean attack from both hands? I know A can, but you need to go with a chain of attacks, which actually limits your attack speed and damage. But if W/A can do the same in a regular W attack, you get a huge advantage ahead of any other Ws. I don't think Anet would allow that happen. If you only can hold two swords, but attack from one of them, you lose the benefit of holding a shield.

I did start a necro first.... a year ago.... and I'm still learning/creating new combos with her. Definately my favorite, although I did have a lot of fun with my Assasin during the FPE.
Necro > All the rest

Hmm, I really like playing mesmer, monk, and necro. At first I was really enjoying my ranger, but I don't play that character much anymore.

With the 4 I'm playing, it's hard to say which I like playing better, because I like playing them all.
Warrior - For just going out on my own and killing stuff. No Muss, no fuss, and no waiting to get into a group.
Monk - (healer) For when I'm feeling like grouping up with people quickly and need a change of pace.
Ranger - For sheer versatility, and doing B/P runs.
Mesmer - For the fun of foiling enemies efforts & making things easier on the rest of the party. My favorite to play, but also hardest one to get into a group. (Too many uninformed out there!)

My favourite profs are definetly Monk and Warrior but I do have fun playing Ranger and Necro.I really hate the Assassin now since Factions FPE in faction battles.I really prefer all of chapter 1 profs.

I like Necro in mostly everything.
Ranger for PvP. (also mesmer when I can figure out how to play with the thing -_-)
Added to the PvP - Loved ranger when I did the 12 vs. 12 thing. Wished I tried a necro but was haveing waaaaay too much fun with them rangers! ^^
Warrior for... just to be able to run around with out TOO much fear of geting killed in a few seconds...
